Half an avocado, three days later, still green

Okay I was skeptical. I've bought the cheap ones before and they never stuck to anything. These actually seal once you warm them in your hands for a second. Wrapped half an avocado Monday, opened it Thursday, still green. That alone sold me.

My cheese doesn't sweat anymore. That's it, that's the review. The block of cheddar used to get slimy in a zip bag within a week and now it's just… fine. Faint honey smell when they were new but it went away after a couple of days.

Took me a week to get the hang of it

First few times I wrapped a bowl it popped off in the fridge. Turns out you really do have to hold it for a few seconds so the wax softens and then let it cool on the rim. Once I got that, no problems. Four stars only because nobody tells you that up front.

Sourdough crust finally survives

The bread bag is the reason I bought the set. I bake on Sundays and by Tuesday the crust was always soft in a plastic bag. In this one it stays crackly for three, four days. The inside isn't dry either which I was worried about.

Bought these for the kids' sandwiches. They fold like paper, stay closed, and the lunch box doesn't smell like plastic anymore. My youngest likes the lemon print so that helps too.

Feels like something my grandmother would have used

Cotton, wax, resin. That's the whole ingredient list and honestly it's why I bought it. They feel nice in the hand and the kitchen drawer smells like a candle shop, in a good way.

Two months in. Still sticky, still sealing. I rinse them under cold water with a drop of soap and hang them on the oven handle to dry. Only knock is they do pick up a bit of color from tomatoes.

Herbs stop going slimy

I wrap cilantro and parsley in the medium one and they last more than a week instead of two days. My kitchen wastes way less now. Also the bread bag is bigger than it looks in the photo, fits a full boule.

I run a small home bakery and I've been giving these bread bags with orders. Customers keep asking where to get them. The crust stays crisp and it looks nicer than plastic on a countertop.

Works, learning curve is real

Read the instructions. Warm it in your hands, press, hold. If you just slap it on a bowl like plastic wrap it won't seal. Once you get it it's quick. Docking a star because the first one I tried I creased pretty badly.

Refresh sticks are a nice touch

Mine started losing a bit of tack after about six weeks of daily use. Rubbed one of the little wax sticks on, popped it in a low oven for a few minutes, good as new. Didn't expect that to actually work.

Plastic wrap free kitchen since June. Haven't bought a roll since. The medium wrap over a bowl of leftover pasta is what I use most. They rinse in seconds.

My mom stole two of them

Gave a set to my mom to try one and she kept it, then took another. Now I'm ordering again. They're pretty enough to leave out on the counter over a fruit bowl.

Camping. Wrapped cheese, a half onion, and a lemon. Everything was fine two days later in a cooler. They also fold flat so they take up no space.

Smell fades, stickiness stays

The honey smell was strong the first day out of the pack, gone within a week. Grip is still good after two months. I'd like a smaller size for half a lime, the small one is a bit big for that.

Bread bag > bread box

We had a bread box for years and the crust still went soft. Cooled the loaf, put it in the bag, folded the top. Day four the crust still crunches. I'm a little annoyed I didn't know about this sooner.

Been cutting plastic out of the kitchen one thing at a time. These replaced the cling film and the zip bags in one go. Wash cold, hang dry, done.

Great for bowls, okay for jars

Bowls, plates, cut fruit, perfect. On glass jars the seal is a bit looser, I think because the rim is thin. Not a big deal, I just use a lid on jars. Everything else is a five.

I use the large one to cover dough while it proofs. Breathes, doesn't stick to the dough, rinses off clean. Didn't buy them for that but it's my favorite use now.

Kids can use them

My eight year old wraps her own sandwich now. It's basically paper that sticks to itself. No clips, no bags, nothing to lose.

Ordered for the plastic-free angle, kept them because they actually work better. Cheese in particular. It breathes instead of sweating and the flavor's better after a week.

Sealed on the first try

Watched the little how-to on the page, warmed it, pressed it, held it. Sealed on the first try on a mixing bowl. Went in the fridge overnight, still tight in the morning.

Pretty patterns, nice weight to the cotton. They do crease if you fold them tight, so I roll them loosely in the drawer instead. Sticking is good, cleaning is easy.

Replaced the foil too

Didn't expect them to replace foil but they do for anything going in the fridge. Half a melon covered with the large one lasted four days without that fridge taste.

Gift for my sister who's on a zero-waste kick. She texted me a photo of her fridge the same day. Packaging was plastic-free too which she noticed before I did.

Six weeks in, holding up

Daily use on lunch stuff. A little less tacky than day one but the refresh stick fixed that. Colors have faded slightly from washing. Still using them every day.

The honey smell is the point

I love that it smells like beeswax and not like nothing. Feels like real material. Cheese, bread, leftover halves of everything. Haven't reached for the cling film box in two months.
